SBA Alumna advances as HMGL 2023 finalist

The Holy Angel University and School of Business and Accountancy (HAU-SBA) alumna, Jhozeld Rhyza Turla qualified as finalist in the “Mga Huwarang Mag-aaral ng Gitnang Luzon (HMGL) 2023,” as announced by the official Facebook page of The Outstanding Students of the Philippines (TOSP) Region 3 Alumni Community of Heroes (R3ACH) on September 15.

Huwarang Mag-aaral ng Gitnang Luzon is a recognition given to youth with exemplary academic performance, awakening advocacies, and remarkable leadership to their respective university and community.

The Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting graduate shared her journey from the completion of requirements up to the finalists’ committee evaluation, mentioning some of the significant people from the HAU community who helped her during the process.

“I felt honored and grateful for this achievement. I am honored to be chosen as a finalist from the pool of qualified and amazing nominees throughout the region,” Turla expressed when asked about her reaction to seeing the qualified individuals for the award.

Turla also showed gratitude to the Angelite community and the SBA department for building a solid foundation of excellence and courage that she will always bring.

In her ending statement, the alumna quoted her video essay during nomination, “Lahat ng aking nakamit at makakamit ay hindi lamang para sa akin, kung hindi para sa atin. This award is for us.”

Turla finished BSMA with a Magna Cum Laude last June 28, 2023, and received the Most Outstanding Management Accounting Student award. Additionally, she is a former Juris Orbis Chief Finance Officer, which opened opportunities inside and outside the university, honing her skills and progress personally that contributed to her path in the nominations.

Meanwhile, TOSP-R3ACH highlighted that HMGL 2023 is an independent program and is not part of TOSP.
