3rd-year BSA stude qualifies in AmCham-BLP 2024

Trisha Montemayor, a third-year Bachelor of Science in Accountancy student from Holy Angel University, has been selected to participate as a Luzon representative in the American Chamber Business Leadership Program (AmCham-BLP) for Batch 2024.ย

The AmCham BLP aims to give Filipino students an exceptional level of access and interaction with the top companies and executives in the Philippines. It provides a comprehensive understanding of the roles of businesses in national development and its significance in business and economic issues that will aid them in their professional lives.

In an online interview, Montemayor stated that the program had a thorough evaluation process, which included business English-speaking exams, group simulations, survival drills, and interviews intended to fully assess applicants โ€” where the selection of the delegates took place over four months.

As per her experiences, the BSA student addressed the importance of being prepared and adaptable. Although she encountered inconsistent internet access during the submission of her video resume, she learned that the key to overcoming challenges was to stay composed and determined.ย

โ€œBeing prepared demonstrates your dedication and initiative, qualities valued by AmCham. Above all, enjoy the application process.โ€ She added.

Meanwhile, she shared her expectations of what she could learn from AmCham.ย

โ€œI believe this program offers a unique opportunity to learn from their experiences, delve into real-life business cases, and ultimately contribute to the nation’s growth. Being exposed to diverse perspectives and insights on economic issues will equip me with valuable lessons that I can share with others, making me a more well-rounded leader.โ€ย

Alongside Montemayor in representing Luzon participants, Emmanuel G. Manalastas from HAU-School of Arts and Sciences also qualified with the same program.

The arrangement between the participants and AmCham will commence virtually on May 29 and 30, with in-person sessions at the AIM Conference Center in Makati City, Metro Manila, from June 2 to June 11.
