The Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants and Auditors – United (JPIAA-U) concluded the TRISULA: Accounting Week and Body Meeting 2023 in a face-to-face setup after three years of pandemic, from September 14 to 15, at the Immaculate Heart (IH) Gymnasium.

There were Academic and Non-academic events, with four participating houses: Pacifica, Atlantica, Arctica, and Indiana.

With the theme, “Treasures of the Deep: exploring Accounting Beneath the Waves,” Accounting Week under Academic events lined up different categories โ€” it included the Basic Accounting Cup, Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) Cup, Advanced Financial Accounting and Reporting (AFAR) Cup, Management Advisory Services (MAS) Cup, Regulation and Financial Business Transactions (RFBT) Cup, Auditing Cup, Taxation Cup, and the All Boards Cup.

Under the Basic Accounting Cup, the House of Pacifica emerged as the undisputed champion, with the House of Atlantica and the House of Arctica securing their respective positions in that order.

The FAR Cup witnessed the House of Pacifica claiming the top spot. The Arctica and the Indiana distinguished themselves as the first and second runners-up, respectively.

In the AFAR Cup, the House of Arctica triumphed as the champions. Another team from the same house also took the first runner-up in the same event, and the Atlantica came second runner-up.

The MAS Cup then showcased the House of Arctica as the champions while Indiana and the Atlantica followed closely behind.

In the RFBT Cup, the House of Atlantica dominated the competition, securing the titleโ€”meanwhile, the Arctica and the secured their first and second-runners positions.

On to the AUDIT category, the House of Indiana hailed as the champion. The Pacifica bagged the first runner-up, and the Arctica ranked second.

Meanwhile, the House of Arctica excelled in the Taxation Cup, securing both the championship and the first runner-up title, and the House of Pacifica earned recognition as the second runner-up.

In the All Boards Cup, the House of Arctica emerged as the victors, with Atlantica securing the first runner-up position and Indiana ranking the second runner-up.

Concurrently, the Body Meeting assembled events with the theme: “Maritopia: Diving to the Sea of Wonders,” featuring an array of Non-Academic competitions, including Mr. and Ms. JAAn 2023, Barkada Feud, TikTok Video Competition, Group Dancing Competition, and Solo Singing Competition.

In the Barkada Feud, the House of Atlantica emerged victorious, with Arctica and Pacifica securing the second and third positions, respectively.

The House of Pacifica showcased their creativity in the TikTok Video Competition, earning them the championship title. On the other hand, Indiana ranked as the first runner-up, and Arctica was declared the second runner-up.

As for the Group Dancing Competition, the House of Atlantica earned the top spot, while the Pacifica and Indiana secured the first and second runner-up positions, respectively.

Meanwhile, the House of Pacifica claimed the title in the Solo Singing Competition. Meanwhile, Indiana secured the first runner-up, and Atlantica followed as the second runner-up.

Subsequently, Neil Franco (House of Indiana) and Trisha Montemayor (House of Pacifica) hailed and crowned as Mr. and Ms. JAAn 2023.

Louis Miranda (House of Pacifica) and Sophia Manuel (House of Arctica) clinched the first runner-up; Arvy Sanchez (House of Arctica) and Angelene Carson (House of Indiana) stood as the second runners-up, while third runners-up were Mark Gutierrez and Patrisha Infante (House of Atlantica).

For the Accounting Week competitions, the House of Arctica dominated as the overall participating team. Meanwhile, Pacifica locked in its top spot in the leaderboard in Body Meeting competitions.

To conclude the entire event, JPIAA-U declared the House of Pacifica the overall champion, followed by the House of Arctica as the first runner-up, and the House of Indiana as the second runner-up overall placement.
