OSA holds FTF seminar, trains HAU’s publications

Holy Angel University – The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) assembled a seminar entitled “Current Trends in Campus Journalism” to inform the campus publications on how to handle the ongoing trends and journalism crises yesterday, October 17, at Peter G. Nepomuceno (PGN) 312.

Kathleen Angeles, Head of the Student Services and Affairs of Bataan Heroes College (BHC), the resource speaker of the event, gave the participants a breakout session where each of them presented a Venn diagram consisting of different factors that drive human behaviors that brought the event to a close. It has emphasized that investigating the fundamental needs, innovation, change drivers, and sweet tooth could aid journalists in identifying trends. Lastly, they presented their final outputs.

The purpose of the said event was to draw attention to the influence of global trends on the field of journalism to pinpoint the reasons for the abrupt changes in news distribution since the pandemic started.

Meanwhile, The Angelite, The Enterprise, The Reflection, The Concierge, Nexus, and The Solution were among the campus publications that attended the event.
