Paul Ernest Carreon, University Student Council (USC) President for Academic Year 2020-2021, announced his resignation earlier tonight — a week before the official start of the school year.
The retiring president hosted a private meeting with the university and various college publications after having forwarded his resignation letter.
Carreon says he is incapacitated to serve as a student leader due to the time demanded by his work.
His resignation will be effective immediately after the Press Conference for the Executive Order Number 5 has taken place. He expresses his confidence in Clarisse Revestir, the Vice President for Internal Affairs, in taking up his position.
Carreon has issued a total of five executive orders since he was elected as the USC President.
