AcadArena presents scholarships for Esports student players

The organization that brings together student gamers and is the home of numerous campus esports communities in the Philippines—AcadArena is set to usher in the next batch of scholarships and grants.

Following the success of the Globe-AcadArena Merit Esports Scholars 2020, AcadArena continues its #NotJustPlay mission by expanding its assistance to students with the new wave of financial support.

Here are the different scholarship categories: Globe-AcadArena Merit Esports Scholarship or GAMES (Leadership) and GAMES (Competitive).

GAMES (Leadership) scholarships are provided to people who have made substantial contributions to their campus gaming community. GAMES (Competitive) scholarships, on the other hand, are granted to students who excelled in competitions and helped in bringing honor to their school.

Acadarena’s monthly offerings also include Globe-AcadArena Good Game Grant (G3) – Family and G3 – Study that aims to assist model student gamers by adding an adequate sum of money to their household needs and provides aid to thesis papers connected to e-sports, respectively. 

Meanwhile, AcadArena Women in Esports (AWE) Powered by Globe and Creator Grant Powered by Twitch Student highlights women and student creation. Gear Aid Powered by LogitechG will be given to students who require hardware support.

These student assistance programs will now be accessible and available to senior high school and college students.

According to CEO of AcadArena, Ariane Lim, “Inclusivity and accessibility [are] as important as ever as we’ve learned from the struggles of an average student. Awarding support to more student profiles, not just the competitive gamer, is how we embody our #NotJustPlay tagline.”
