CSC-SBA advisers vacate their position

In an interview with The Enterprise today, School of Business and Accountancy – College Student Council (CSC-SBA) Chairperson Marie Elizabeth Sagum confirms the resignation of both their adviser and co-adviser, Ms. Amy Corpuz and Mr. Ednel Datu, respectively.

“Totoo nga na nag resign na yung ating advisers, Ma’am Amy and co-adviser na si Sir Datu,” Sagum asserted.

She stated that Datu and Corpuz were more than willing to serve when asked about the position. However, when the school year started, their responsibilities in the council added to their prior commitments—as the Accountancy Program chairperson and the Graduate School coordinator, respectively—admitting that they cannot handle their responsibilities anymore as CSC-SBA advisers.

In addition, Sagum quipped that both of their advisers did not anticipate the load and weight of work in the council, leading to their resignation during their council meeting last August 23.

“Inamin nila na hindi na kinaya yung iba’t-ibang responsibilities dahil ‘di rin nila na-anticipate yung bigat din ng nangyayari sa council,” she clarified.

On behalf of the CSC-SBA, the chairperson stated that they appreciated the honesty of their then advisers and expressed their understanding with regards to other commitments and conflicts in schedules.

“Itong pagkawalan ng advisers, hindi namin siya setback…hindi magbabago yung pag-function namin,” Sagum added.

With the upcoming SBA days and other events, the CSC-SBA remains eager to find the people to take over the vacant positions, saying within the week as their target dates.
