SBA ‘gets gold’ in SBA Days 2021; VR triumphs as overall champion

After more than a half-month long run, the College Student Council – School of Business and Accountancy (CSC-SBA) commenced the SBA Days 2021 in a virtual closing ceremony held November 07.

Dubbed “Ready, Player, Go: Get AU”, the event, composed of 18 different competitions ranging from academic contests, arts competitions, E-sports and the much-awaited SNTM Cycle 6, ran from October 15 to November 07, 2021.

Event participants were grouped into four houses namely Virtual Reality (VR), Interactive Fantasy (IF), Graphic Adventure (GA), and Rhythmic Action (RA). The overall tally revealed VR as the champion, while GA and RA placed 1st and 2nd runner up respectively.

In an interview, CSC-SBA Chairperson Maria Elizabeth Sagum quipped that the hardest part of preparing the event was on the logistics side. “There were still technical difficulties, schedule adjustments, and setbacks in logistics that called for impromptu work and critical decision making,” she explained.

On the other hand, Sagum said that they were happy that they were able to pull it off. “In the end, they were as successful [as] they can be through this virtual setup,” she added.
