ManSoc commences fundraising event, Color Fun Run 2024

The Management Society (ManSoc) held its first Color Fun Run fundraiser for their chosen charity, the Children’s Home of Eucharistic Love and Kindness, under the theme, “Hue Can Do It!” on January 13, 2024, from 4:30 am to 9:00 am, at The Infinity, Angeles City, Pampanga.

The Fun Run began with an opening program and a warm-up session, followed by the anticipated fun-run activity around The Shoppes at Infinity. Throughout the route, event staff threw colored powder at the runners. Several booths were available for students to purchase food and drinks.

At the end of the program, Miguel Louis Cuaresma, Hanz Marvin Perez, and Semaco Sacmar III landed as the top 3 finishers, each receiving a medal and certificate of completion. The OICs presided over the ceremony with Ms. Joy Anne Evaristo and Mrs. Jam Cruz, the organization’s advisers.

In an interview with the project coordinators, Ms. Monica Mapua and Ms. Khelsie Tungcab shared that they have experienced a long and tedious process while facing challenges with municipality coordination — while Ms. Mapua emphasized the importance of fitness by taking care of students’ well-being despite their academic endeavors. The head organizers added that they want to introduce something new to the management department while instilling social responsibility.

“We want to bring something unique, [something] fun. [something] lively for the students—something that ManSoc has not done yet,” Ms. Mapua and Ms. Tungcab expressed this in their message to students.

Mr. Alfred Guillermo and Ms. Justine Joyce Celis presided over the fundraiser, and together with the management students, the founder of ManSoc, Dr. Jess Panlilio, and other Management professors were also present at the said event.

As per ManSoc, the event was in collaboration with the School of Business and Accountancy Student Council (CSC-SBA) for the fundraising drive. Those who participated in the run each received a certificate of participation.
