Alfred P. Guillermo, a third-year BSBA Legal Management student, attended the Oath Taking Ceremony headed by Holy Angel University – The University Student Election Commission (HAU-USEC) as the newly elected School of Business and Accountancy (SBA) Commissioner at Peter G. Nepomuceno (PGN) Building 9th Floor yesterday, February 6, 2024.
Mark Lemuel Furton, HAU-USEC School of Computing (SOC) Commissioner, also the officer-in-charge, led the ceremony, voicing the duties and responsibilities of the representatives.
Together with Guillermo, Uniwide Commissioners Mary Angelyn Razon, and Marel Jeslyn Yulo solidified the School of Nursing and Allied Medical Sciences (SNAMS) and School of Education (SED), respectively. Following them is Arnold Alejo Nunag from the SOC as Uniwide Commissioner.
In an interview, Guillermo expressed his feelings as the newly sworn commissioner, highlighting his expectations in the upcoming student elections.
“It was overwhelming, but at the same time a little pressured as the university election is coming, but given this position, I believe it is now my duty and responsibility to serve our fellow students a clean and transparent election.”
“As the new SBA Commissioner, I will do my very best to get an active voting participation and engagement from all students in the electoral process,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Head of Office of Student Affairs, Ms. Iris Ann Castro, and Student Activities Coordinator, Mr. Paul Ernest Carreon, accompanied the ceremony.
