Caps Off: Dolphins march to receive diplomas in 1st Sem Graduation Exercises

Seniors and fifth-year students of the School of Business and Accountancy (SBA) wore their best smiles, adorned in their black and yellow togas, as the two-day graduation ceremony commenced at San Francisco De Javier (SFDJ) University Theater last November 28 to 29.

The first day of the commencement exercises was conducted last November 28, with the fifth-year and selected blocks of seniors being recognized. Nine Latin Honors recipients were recognized, two of whom were Summa Cum Laude. Sean Santiago Garcia and Jianna Chelsea Suarez Iral received the Summa Cum Laude, while Princess Yvan Quizon Malig, Lyra Jeseth Vergara Chavez, Armin Noel Gonzales Quioc, Michelle Angelaine Deang Manalang, Nelson Mercado De Jesus, Kisha Gonzales Rodriguez, and Joser Galpao Landingin being awarded the Magna Cum Laude. Garcia led the valedictory speech, followed by Shejanira Arcilla as the Angelite Speaker. 

Fifth-year students, otherwise known by their batch name, “Volonté”  were the first under the new curriculum to receive their second diploma, the Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accountancy. 

Meanwhile, the second batch of graduates was recognized last November 29, with seniors receiving their diplomas in BS in Management Accounting and BS in Business Administration. 

A total of 16 Latin honors were awarded, with Leanne Jean Gatus Dela Peña, Frances Isah Sicat Cruz, and Apple Rose Bulagnir Belicena receiving Summa Cum Laude. Following were Magna Cum Laude recipients including Nigel Ann Amamangpang Lasola, Angelica Sablan Lugtu, Paula Marie Montoya Nunag, Nikkson Caguin Cayanan, Rica Grace Manalansan Morales, Carlo Ocsabo Aban, Lean Jeximus Anotonio Lansangan, Christine Pauline Valdez Villanueva, Abby Angeline Duque Apostol, Aira Jane Calma Arcilla, Joyce Ann Bernardo Bondoc, Alexandra Couleen Antonio Eufemio, and Abrylle Policarpio Opiniano. 

Dela Peña conducted the Valedictory Speech, with Yuan Carlo Bundalian representing the batch as the Angelite Speaker. 

The commencement exercises concluded with the graduates tossing their caps outside the University Theatre.
