Chel Diokno, a human rights lawyer, held a seminar entitled “Care for the Integrity of Creation: Not An Option But Moral and Ethical Imperative” at the San Francisco De Javier (SFJ) Building of the Holy Angel University Theater earlier today, February 27, 2024.

Faculty and students from different departments, including the School of Business and Accountancy (SBA), were present during the seminar.

Diokno began his talk by emphasizing the voice and power of the youth. He elaborated on the need for the youth to be proactive, encouraging them to use their age as an advantage in the fight for a better Philippines.

โ€œHindi lang kayo ang pag-asa ng bayan, kayo ang Pilipinas,โ€ Diokno said.

Furthermore, he highlighted the need for students to expand their knowledge of the history and culture of the nationโ€”thereby also stressing the need for an environmentally conscious youth.

Diokno currently serves as the chairman of the Free Legal Assistance Group (FLAG) and was a senatorial aspirant during the 2022 elections. Currently, he is being tapped as a prospective candidate once more in the 2025 elections.
